Merit Brass SWM411-16 Coupling, 1" Socket Weld Female, MSS SP-114 304 Stainless Steel Cast Pipe Fitting Feature

  • Utilized primarily in low pressure situations in conjunction with schedule 40 pipe or pipe nipples
  • Primarily used in the chemical, pulp, and paper processing industry as well as for oil refining and pollution-control equipment or other applications where abrasive or corrosive media is flowing or external corrosive conditions exist in the atmosphere
  • Produced from investment casting through lost wax process
  • Dimensions conform to MSS SP-114 and threads to ANSI B1.20.1
  • Chemical composition: 304 = .08% Carbon, 1.5%Manganese, 2% Silicon, .04% Sulfur, .04% Phosphorus, 8-11% Nickel(304) and 18-21% Chromium
These high quality stainless steel fittings are excellent for low-pressure applications where corrosion resistance is a concern. Our line of MSS SP-114 Class 150 stainless steel fittings are the highest quality in the industry. This is proven by the strict standards they meet: MSS SP-114 (for heat treating and material thickness) , ANSI B1.20.1, and ASTM A351. 304 MSS SP-114 fittings are a chromium-nickel material that offers very good corrosion resistance. 316 MSS SP-114 fittings offer a higher resistance to corrosion than 304 due to their nickel content along with the addition of molybdenum. Additionally, each fitting undergoes a thread test, pneumatic pressure testing, material composition analysis, and burrs are removed to avoid severing sealant and to prevent bad seals.
